What makes estate shipping different from a regular move

Estate work has a different rhythm. There's a closing date, often a family that lives spread out, items that have to go to specific people (and a few that have to be documented for the trust), and emotional weight on every box. We've worked through dozens of these in Orange County — many in Leisure World, Laguna Woods, and the long-tenured neighborhoods of Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, and Tustin — and the workflow is pretty consistent: a 90-minute walk-through with the executor or senior move manager to tag items by recipient, then a one-to-three day on-site session where we pack, photograph, ship, and log each piece. Photos matter twice: once for trust documentation, and again because the family member receiving the piece in Chicago or Boston wants to see it before it arrives. We coordinate routinely with realtors who need the house broom-clean by closing, senior move managers (NASMM members in OC), and estate attorneys who need a paper trail. Larger fragile pieces route through our white-glove service; standard household items go through normal carrier shipping with proof-of-pickup documentation.

How quickly can you start an estate job?

Often within 48 hours of the initial walk-through. For closing-date pressure jobs we'll prioritize and can sometimes start the next morning.

Do you work with senior move managers?

Yes — we regularly partner with NASMM-member move managers in Orange County. We handle the shipping side so they can focus on the move, sort, and donation coordination.

Can you document every item for the trust?

Yes. Photo per item, recipient name and address, tracking number, signed delivery confirmation. Final PDF report sent to the executor or estate attorney.

What about large furniture or fragile pieces?

Furniture and high-value fragile items go through our white-glove network (custom crate, air-ride van, signature delivery). Standard household items go through normal carrier shipping.

Can heirs choose items remotely?

Yes — we do FaceTime walk-throughs constantly. Heir in Chicago points at what they want, we tag it, photograph it, pack it, and ship it. They get tracking and a photo when it leaves.

Do you take items to donation or estate sale?

We coordinate with local donation pickups and estate-sale companies but we don't haul donated items ourselves. Our scope is the shipping piece — getting things to family members across the country.

Will you make the closing date?

Our scheduling for estate work is built around closing dates. Tell us the date when you book and we'll stage the work backwards to make it.
