How home packing works

  1. 1. Tell Us What's Going Out

Snap a photo of the item(s). We'll suggest carton size and confirm a window.

  2. 2. Driver Arrives With Materials

Pre-loaded with boxes from 6×6 up to 30×30, bubble, foam-in-place, packing peanuts, and tape.

  3. 3. Packed in Your Living Room

Items wrapped, padded, double-boxed if fragile, then sealed and labeled in front of you.

  4. 4. Off to the Carrier

We drop at the right UPS, FedEx, or USPS hub and upload the receipt + tracking same-day.

Why people book on-site packing instead of doing it themselves

The two biggest reasons items get damaged in transit are under-packing (not enough padding between the item and the box wall) and using the wrong carton size — a 2-inch gap on any side is enough to crack glass or split a frame. We carry a full inventory of double-walled cartons in 10+ sizes, plus the right grade of bubble for the job (small-bubble for electronics, large-bubble for art and ceramics, and foam-in-place for awkward shapes). For high-value pieces we double-box: the item goes into a snug inner carton, that carton is suspended in 2 inches of padding inside a larger outer carton — the industry standard that UPS and FedEx actually require for insurance claims on fragile items. You also avoid the part most people hate: hauling 4-foot cartons through the house, hunting for tape, and realizing you needed more bubble wrap halfway through.

What we handle most

Framed art & mirrors

Corner protectors, glass tape across the face, padded inside a custom flat carton or art crate.

Holiday gifts

Multiple items consolidated into one cleanly packed box, often saving the customer 30–40% on shipping vs. shipping each separately.

Electronics & TVs

Original-spec foam where possible; otherwise corner-padded and double-boxed with anti-static wrap.

Wedding & china sets

Each piece individually wrapped, dish-pack carton with cell dividers.

Returns with no box

We bring a fresh carton, pack the item, attach the return label, and drop it off.

Moving leftovers

After a move, the last 10–20 items that didn't fit in the truck — packed, shipped, gone.

Frequently asked

What if you don't have the right size box?

Our vans carry 30+ carton sizes from 6×6×6 up to 30×30×30. For anything bigger we bring a wardrobe or telescoping art carton. If we genuinely can't size it on-site, we'll come back the next day with the right material at no extra trip charge.

How do you handle truly fragile items?

Double-box: the item goes in a snug inner carton padded with bubble or foam, and that carton is suspended in 2 inches of padding inside a larger outer carton. This is what UPS and FedEx require to honor insurance claims on glass, ceramic, and framed art.

Can I watch you pack?

Yes — that's the whole point of on-site packing. Most customers stand by and we explain what we're doing as we go.

Do you take a photo before sealing?

Always. We send you a phone photo of the packed item before we tape the box closed, so there's a record of how it left.

How long does a typical pack take?

A single framed photo or small electronics item is usually 10–15 minutes. A china set or a 65" TV is 30–45 minutes. We quote a flat rate, not by the hour.

What if my item is damaged in transit anyway?

Because we double-box and photograph everything, carrier insurance claims actually pay out. We help you file the claim and provide the pack-photos as evidence.

Do you ship hazardous or restricted items?

No liquids over 32oz, no lithium batteries shipped loose, no aerosols, no firearms, no perishables without dry-ice pre-arrangement. UPS/FedEx restricted-item rules apply.
